At Douro View, the river isn't a distant view: it's right at your door. Mornings start with coffee on the private balcony, watching the Douro wake up, and evenings end at sunset on the riverside boardwalk, just a few steps away. In between, Gramido river beach, a kayak trip or a terrace by the water. Porto is 15 minutes away by car, but here the river sets the pace. Ideal for couples or small groups.

The space

An apartment designed for slowing down. The private balcony looks out over the Douro, and the espresso machine makes sure the first coffee of the day is enjoyed outside, with no rush. Sleeps up to 3 guests.

The neighbourhood

Valbom is a riverside town where life moves at the pace of the Douro. A 5 minute walk takes you to Gramido, with its river beach, a boardwalk for walking, running or cycling along the water, and the Clube Naval, where you can try kayaking. Nearby, Casa Branca de Gramido is where a convention ending a civil war was signed in 1847, and today it houses the filigree museum. In the late afternoon, the Riviera Lounge terrace is the perfect spot to watch the sun set over the river.

Guest access

You'll have private access to the entire apartment and balcony. Check in is self service via lockbox: you'll receive the code before arrival, with no need to arrange a meeting time. Free parking available on the street nearby.

Interaction with guests

The Hommelier team is available by message or call throughout your stay for anything you need. We also provide a digital guide to the area with local recommendations in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Check in: from 3:00 PM (self service via lockbox, with the code sent before arrival)
Check out: by 11:00 AM

Welcome kit: shower gel, shampoo, coffee pods, salt, pepper and olive oil offered at the start of your stay, as a courtesy.

Smoking policy: this apartment follows a zero tolerance policy for smoking inside the property. Should our team identify signs that this rule was not respected (smell of tobacco, ashes or cigarette butts), we reserve the right to apply a specialised cleaning fee starting at €200.
